One hot day last week we decided to drive from Chiang Mai to escape the heat to the mountains of Moncham. Along the way we passed this amazing hotel. After stopping for a coffee, we asked for a tour and ended up spending a night. While the temperature was hovering around 35 in Chiang Mai, it was only 25 at the resort. The room was perfect with the most amazing bed and a TB big enough for a theater, however bring your netflix account as all TV is streaming. While the rooms are still missing a few bits and pieces, they are more than adequate and the current low season deals reflect that. The Onsen will be nice when finished and the food was amazing. My girlfriend got some great suggestions from the Chef and we had a perfect meal customized to our needs. Cocktails could be improved but I am sure they will be better in time. Wine prices are incredibly low for Thailand. While it is still under construction, it was easy to see that this hotel will be one of the best in the area and I hope to come back again when it is done.
